Water Pressure Dropped and Nobody Knows Why (Kingston, WA)
Pressure that falls at every fixture, or drops when a second tap opens, often means the buried service line is leaking or has narrowed from corrosion.

Low water pressure on wooded acreage along South Kingston Road in Kingston is a specific problem with a specific set of causes, and the ground, beach deposits along the cove, decides which is most likely. We're up Highway 3 and across on 104 and we bring probe rods and marking, pumps and the mini excavator on the first trip.
What usually causes low water pressure in Kingston
A partially closed or failing valve: a main shutoff that was never fully reopened, or a gate valve whose gate has dropped. In Kingston that usually means copper and galvanized near the terminal near White Horse, and the ground, roots and the odd boulder off Miller Bay Road, decides how far the water travels before you see it.
The second thing we rule in or out is a pressure regulator or well pressure switch. On a regulated system or a well, the regulator or the switch can fail. It's common enough on ferry-town lots near Highway 104 that we never skip it.
And corroded galvanized pipe: rust builds up inside old steel pipe until the bore is a fraction of its original size. Less common on shoreline lots on Miller Bay, but we've found it near Appletree Cove.
First steps on a Kingston property
Kingston's acreage lots along Miller Bay Road, Indianola Road and South Kingston Road have the longest runs in North Kitsap short of Bainbridge, and the hardpan under them stays saturated all winter.
What you can check yourself on shoreline lots on Miller Bay: confirm the main shutoff and any valve at the meter are fully open. Look at the pipe at the point of entry: threaded gray steel means galvanized. If you get that far, we'll pick it up from there with probe rods and marking and pressure gauges and isolation.
How we fix it
In Kingston the work that follows the diagnosis is underground water leak detection, and it runs in order: repair, if you want us to, listen, trace the line. Brittle well lines on Indianola Road parcels in hardpan saturated from November to May sets the pace on long gravel driveways through fir; the sequence doesn't change.
Our Kingston coverage for low water pressure runs Appletree Cove, Arness Park, Lindvog Road, the ferry terminal and everything between. We're based in Central Kitsap, up Highway 3 and across on 104, with probe rods and marking and pumps on the truck.
